　　知名遊戲製作公司  Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) 自從製作《無盡的任務》系列到最近的生存題材新作《H1Z1》進行了多年線上遊戲的開發，然而今日正式被 SONY 集團售出給 Columbus Nova，並更名為 Daybreak Game Company，公司總裁 John Smedley 表示旗下擁有的各項營運產品並不會有任何變化，並將進軍 Xbox One 平台


SOE 走入歷史

　　由 John Smedley、Brad McQuaid 以及 Steve Clover 發起的 Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) 曾經製作了 《無盡的任務》系列，影響後來《魔獸世界》等數款線上遊戲發展。在 MMORPG 發展史上與《網路創世紀》等作品被稱為 MMORPG 的始祖之一。


　　在售出消息確認後，該公司表示旗下依然在營運的遊戲像是《無盡的任務》系列、《行星邊際 2》和《H1Z1》)均不會受到任何影響。發展中的新作《無盡的任務 NEXT 》也會繼續下去。但往年照常舉辦的「SOE LIVE」因為公司售出更名之故將會暫停一次。


　　Daybreak遊戲公司 John Smedley 透過推特發表了個人聲明並向玩家做以下承諾：「旗下所有遊戲依舊會繼續營運，而且計畫朝向 Xbox  One 次世代主機平台發展，原先的 SOE 平台上的資料不會有任何變動，並且開發中作《無盡的任務 NEXT 》依然繼續開發中，任何內容都不會發生改變。」
