（中央社舊金山5日綜合外電報導）美聯社今天報導，幾乎所有人都同意邊開車邊傳簡訊很危險，但還是很多人這麼做。

AT&T公司（AT&T Inc.）針對不管在何處每天都會傳簡訊且經常開車的人調查，98%表示他們知道開車時傳簡訊的危險性，不過儘管公共服務廣泛宣導及部分州立法處分，其中仍有3/4的人承認邊開車邊傳簡訊。

2/3的人表示會在紅燈或看到停止標誌時讀簡訊，但超過1/4的人表示曾邊開車邊傳簡訊。邊開車邊傳簡訊的人當中逾1/4相信，他們「可以一心多用，就算開車也一樣」。

AT&T擴大下載靜音簡訊通知，及當駕駛者每小時移動15英里以上時自動啟動靜音（乘客可關閉）功能的免費app。DriveMode app先前只有使用Android和黑莓機（BlackBerry）的AT&T用戶可下載，iPhone使用者很快也能下載。（譯者：中央社陳昱婷）
