（中央社香港29日綜合外電報導）香港占中行動引爆警民衝突，當局強力鎮壓群眾引發爭議，警方今天表示，昨天與民主派抗議群眾衝突時，共「87次」動用催淚彈，但力圖辦解是情非得已。

法新社報導，警務處助理處長張德強表示，警方在9個不同地點使用催淚彈，只是他沒有說明是否在每個地點都發射多枚催淚彈。

他在記者會表示：「會使用武力，是因為當時情況別無選擇。」他又說，當「警方封鎖線遭到部分抗議群眾嚴重衝擊時」，警員覺得不得不發射催淚彈。

香港醫院管理局今晨表示，在「占中」運動示威中，共有41人受傷，需要送往各公立醫院接受治療。(中央社)
