中信兄弟與義大犀牛爭下半季冠軍，30日起兩隊要打4場補賽，這4場大決戰的第1場，寇迪對上克拉帝，哪一隊能贏球，就可以占到先機。

中華職棒現已進入補賽的賽程，義大犀牛下半季戰績30勝1和24敗，暫居第一，領先第二名中信兄弟28勝3和24敗只有1場勝差，接下來兩隊在9月30日、10月2日、5日及8日的4場補賽將直接對戰，是下半季冠軍誰屬最重要的4場決戰。

犀牛若能2連勝兄弟，最快10月4日在台南戰統一獅封王，而兄弟若能2連勝犀牛，10月4日犀牛又輸統一獅，那麼兄弟5日就要在澄清湖球場戰犀牛封王。

大決戰的第1戰，兄弟由寇迪先發，他本季戰績6勝2敗、防禦率1.99，對犀牛戰績2勝0敗、防禦率2.40；犀牛由克拉帝先發，他本季戰績7勝2敗、防禦率1.60，對兄弟戰績1勝0敗、防禦率0.95。
