28歲的新人洪新智在就讀大二時，因罹患罕見疾病「貝西氏症」導致失明，加上多年前就罹癌的母親，和3年前累倒中風的父親，全家頓時陷入困境，他雖然一度無法接受打擊，但為了扛起父母親的生活費和醫藥費，毅然決然走上創作音樂這條路，而這分勇氣也讓同樣身為盲人歌手的蕭煌奇感動，親自操刀為其打造全新台語EP《無法度擱再等待》，並鼓勵他看不見但仍要用音樂向命運拼搏。（尤燕祺／台北報導）
