新莊中港大排願景館繼「簡文仁油畫展」、「許伯鑫攝影展」後，5月3日起至 6月1日推出「周姚萍、羅喬殷繪本展」。水利局指出，參展藝術家周姚萍從事兒童文學創作多年，創作本土童書外，也引進與翻譯日本童書。其作品曾榮獲「行政院新聞局金鼎獎優良圖書推薦獎」、「聯合報讀書人最佳童書獎」、「幼獅青少年文學獎」等。

水利局表示，居住於新莊的周姚萍，畢業於輔仁大學，對新莊有濃厚的感情，指新莊在人文歷史與自然生態上的豐富資源，讓她能潛心創作，從生活中發掘出一篇篇動人溫暖又兼顧生態觀念的兒童文學故事。如她在作品中描寫的美麗睡蓮、可愛的紅冠水雞、小白鷺或白腹秧雞等鳥類，就是她經常到中港大排與塭仔底公園散步所累積的靈感對象。

另羅喬殷則是新生代備受矚目的圖像創作者，目前尚就讀於國立臺北藝術大學美術系。曾獲得2010年金車仲夏插畫祭奇幻旅行繪本比賽第三名，之後便一頭愛上繪本創作的世界，與周姚萍合作的《鐘聲喚醒的故事》為個人首次參與的圖畫書繪圖，也是本次於新莊人文特展展出的重點作品。
