職棒新人年謝榮豪從牛棚出發，挑起球隊後援重任，成為中信兄弟倚重的投手，投手教練黃欽智稱讚他在菜鳥球季就有「超水準」演出，對他相當期待。

去年底選秀會前兩輪被挑中的謝榮豪目前出賽46場，以中繼為主，合計51局18分責失，收下17個中繼點，本季戰績3勝4敗，防禦率3.18。

謝榮豪在上半季結束繳出1.75的防禦率，下半季防禦率卻來到3.18，為此黃欽智說：「那是上半季他表現太好了，相比之下，下半季表現不穩便容易突顯出來，但一位菜鳥在新人年有這樣的表現，算是水準之上了。」

今年春訓謝榮豪比其他人晚報到，因此沒有接受完整訓練，黃欽智指出，要是明年春訓過後，預計將謝榮豪擺在先發位置，他相信這位菜鳥投手明年會成為隊上的王牌投手。

因為是職棒新人年，黃欽智認為新人心態容易倦怠，他也私下鼓勵謝榮豪，希望他提高自我要求，不要鬆懈：「他有那個能力，既然要成為很好的投手，那他就必須凸顯自己的價值，我覺得他還有很大的進步空間。」
