美媒報導，天使隊避免薪資仲裁，將與右投Garrett Richards簽下1年320萬元的合約；Garrett Richards現正積極復健，希望可以趕上開季。

26歲的Garrett Richards，是天使隊2009年選秀會第一輪選進的球員，2011年上大聯盟，去年成了天使隊主力先發投手，表現出色，一度是美國聯盟賽揚獎的強力競爭者，可惜他8月21日對紅襪隊之戰後受傷，未再登板投球，整季出賽26場，戰績13勝4敗、防禦率2.61，在美聯排名第5。

去年天使隊以98勝64敗的戰績在美聯西區封王，同時也是全大聯盟戰績最好的球隊，Garrett Richards功不可沒。

Garrett Richards季後向天使球團要求380萬美元的年薪，天使隊只願給240萬美元，經協商之後，天使隊決定給Garrett Richards今年320萬美元的年薪，避免薪資仲裁。
