《Reuters》報導，歐洲央行總裁德拉吉週四表示，利率將會持續維持低檔更長一段時間，因為種種跡象顯示，歐元區經濟復甦狀況並不平均，且通膨展望不甚樂觀。

德拉吉在記者會上表示，歐元區經濟展望相當不樂觀，其中最重要的因素是國際地緣政治衝突、影響歐元區經濟；新興市場發展亦影響到歐元區發展。「有必要的話，歐洲央行銀行管理委員會一致同意採取非傳統手段，解決通膨率長期過低的問題。」

德拉吉認為，烏克蘭危機是歐元區經濟一大風險。目前很難評估這場危機對歐元區影響到底有多大，因為只有少數幾家歐洲金融機構直接曝險俄國，很難評估制裁與反制裁對雙方實際經濟影響究竟有多大。

歐洲央行管理委員會稍早宣布，將維持利率在史上低點 0.15%不變，此舉符合市場預期。

歐元區國家近期經濟表現均不樂觀。義大利已經再度陷入經濟衰退，而德國央行則表示，德國經濟第二季亦陷入停滯。
