今(12)日上午7時40分左右，台鐵一輛由新竹開往基隆的火車，傳出有一名女子在車廂內亮刀揮舞，列車開到山佳站時，女子已經遭到制伏，鐵路警察已經獲報前往處理。當時一度誤傳說女子持刀要砍人，所幸並無發生憾事。

根據《TVBS》報導，該名女子當時是在第七節車廂，自稱當時是要削水果，但詳細情況仍有待警方深入調查；所幸並無人員傷亡。
