賈西亞(Freddy Garcia)遭到統一獅打線狙擊，先發5局用105球失掉5分，還被鄧志偉扛出1發陽春砲，義大犀牛終場以3比6輸球，賈西亞吞下中職第1敗。

今天(17日)犀獅戰上演2位百勝級投手的對決，由大聯盟156勝的賈西亞，跟中職累計112勝的「嘟嘟」潘威倫同場較勁。

賈西亞此戰受到主審好球帶的影響，還一度高舉雙手抗議，第1局先失掉2分之後，第5局又被鄧志偉敲出全壘打，投完5局就因為用球數偏多退場。

總計賈西亞5局用105球，被敲出偏多的9支安打失5分，終場義大以3比6輸球，他也吞下中職的第1場敗投，自責分率4.09。

跟大聯盟級投手同場對決，潘威倫表現略勝一籌，先發7局無失分，被敲出7支安打2K，順利開張本季第1勝。
