台南市安平工業區1家皮革工廠昨天深夜傳出火警，火勢於今天凌晨2時許才撲滅，大面積廠房燒毀，所幸沒有人員傷亡。

台南市政府消防局於昨晚10時20分左右接報，位於安平工業區內新義路上的1家皮革廠傳出火警。消防人員抵達時，發現火勢猛烈，不僅整座工廠陷入火海，附近的其他廠房也有遭波及之虞。

消防局陸續派遣37部各式車輛及83名警、義消前往灌救，並實施周邊防護，阻止延燒。由於廠內堆積大量易燃物品，火勢不易控制；多輛水庫車在水用完了之後，外出加水後再回到火場供水。火勢於凌晨2時14分撲滅，最後再動用挖土機協助進行殘火處理。

工廠負責人於起火後曾趕到火場關心，難過得說不出話來，並頻頻拭淚。

有目擊民眾指出，這家工廠約10年前也曾發生過大火。消防人員初步判斷約有100坪廠房全毀，財物損失及起火原因仍需進一步釐清，幸好沒有造成人員傷亡。(中央社)
