不續命 微軟：4/8終止支援XP

XP將延長「系統內部的安全性更新」？別被這類的錯誤新聞誤導了！

日前有媒體引述CNET科技網站報導，微軟(Microsoft)原本已經確定要在今年4月終止對Windows XP作業系統的所有支援，但卻在15日表示，會持續提供Windows XP系統內部的安全性更新，讓消費者可以使用到2015年7月14日，主要目的是為了幫助用戶完成系統轉換的過渡期。

對此，台灣微軟強調，Windows XP 將於2014年4月8日終止支援，沒有任何改變。不過，為了協助用戶完成系統移轉的相關作業，微軟將持續提供防惡意程式軟體簽章與防毒引擎的更新給Windows XP的用戶至2015年7月14日。

防惡意程式軟體包括System Center Endpoint Protection, Forefront Client Security, Forefront Endpoint Protection and Windows Intune, Microsoft Security Essentials。以協助已安裝前述軟體的Windows XP用戶來防止如病毒、蠕蟲、木馬等惡意程式的攻擊。

台灣微軟也說，使用上述微軟防惡意軟體的Windows XP用戶亦將隨著 Windows XP終止支援後，不再獲得任何技術支援。

微軟建議客戶儘速升級至最新Windows 8.1。因為許多新型態的底層攻擊(例如Rootkit) 必須依靠作業系統的更新與修補才能防堵。而Windows 8.1內建的「信任式開機」可以從開機的那一刻即啟動防護。
