美國國防部官員已告知國會，如果國會授權歐巴馬對敘利亞發動攻擊，國會不需要因此而增加撥款給政府充作戰費。國防部官員指出，戰斧型巡弋飛彈已經原本就在庫存中，人事費用也已經完成籌措。儘管軍事支出可能會稍微增加，國防部也可在現有經費中進行調度。
