宏達電揪內賊，引起法人及外界高度關注，擔心因為關鍵技術外流，影響後續新手機的上市，衝擊到基本面；執行長周永明2日親自寫給員工一封信，據了解，他在內容中指出，對近日有員工涉嫌舞弊而被逮捕事件，感到非常遺憾，同時強調，無論任何職級的員工違反公司規定，一定依法行事，絕不妥協，也絕不寬恕這樣的行為。

據指出，周永明在給員工的公開信中表示，由於案件已進入司法程序，不便做進一步的回應或評論，但設計團隊有足夠的資源和人才，這次的事件不會影響公司運作、產品計畫、與整體的營運績效表現。

他說，這次事件同時可以提醒每一位同仁，公司期望所有員工都能遵守和實踐誠信和道德的最高標準，保護公司的資產、智慧財產權及隱私和安全是每一位同仁最重要的責任義務，無論任何職級的員工違反公司規定，一定依法行事，絕不妥協，也絕不寬恕這樣的行為。

周永明指出，雖然這些指控都還在調查當中，但在這極具挑戰性的時刻，更要凝聚在一起，用決心和勇氣來面對挑戰，並堅持做對的事。他強調，公司整體價值並不會受到個別員工行為的影響，會持續堅持創新精神，並提供世界級的設計與產品。

周永明說，將從這次事件中學習，並將之視為一個機會，藉以改善組織的做法，流程、和領導方式。同時要繼續保持積極的態度，並將重心放在日常工作及公司業務發展。
